Peter Dicks
Chairman
Peter has over 30 years of experience in the private equity sector and co-founded Abingworth, one of the UK's first venture capital companies, in 1973 where he stayed until 1991. The majority of Abingworth's portfolio consisted of American technology companies and it was an early investor in, amongst others, Apple, Silicon Graphics and 3COM. Since then, he has been non-executive Director or Chairman of a number of companies in the private equity or investment field including Vencap International Fund Managers Ltd, Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc and Sportingbet plc.
 
Barbara Thomas

Barbara is a past Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission and is a US qualified lawyer with extensive senior international experience of financial services, legal and media organisations. She is now resident in London.
In 1996, she became a director of London American Growth Trust PLC, and subsequently became a director of its successor company, Second London American Trust PLC, an investment trust with assets of some £30 million specialising in US investments. A substantial part of this company's business is conducted through participation in a venture capital partnership whose manager is based in California.
She is non-executive Chairman of Axon Group PLC, a London listed computer systems and eCommerce company, and is Deputy Chairman of Friends Provident Life Office where she is a member of its investment committee. She is also a director of other public and private companies.  
Barbara Thomas
David Quysner

David Quysner has spent more than 30 years in venture capital, initially with 3i and subsequently with Abingworth, of which he is currently non-executive Chairman.
He has wide experience of making and managing investments in technology companies in both the USA and the UK. He served on the Stock Exchange Smaller Companies Working Party, which led to the creation of London’s AIM market and subsequently sat on the AIM Advisory Committee.
More recently, he was a member of the Treasury Working Party on the Financing of High Technology Companies. He was Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association in 1996/97. He is non-executive Chairman of Comino plc, Finsbury Technology Trust plc and Quester VCT3 plc, and a Director of a number of other public companies.
