Already invested in over 100 companies
First IPO of portfolio company
The directors of Net Investor PLC are pleased to report that the company now has investments in 104 early, expansion, late and pre-IPO stage IT companies, through its US venture capital partnerships.
- The £100 million initial capital (£97 million net of expenses) raised in February is now fully committed to 12 US venture capital funds. As a result Net Investor shareholders have enviable exposure to a breadth of emerging companies within the global IT sector.
- The first IPO by an investee company was completed on 21 March when Caldera Systems Inc., a software maker for the Linux computer system, commenced trading on NASDAQ.
- Four further investee companies have already filed for IPO, three in the US and one in Hong Kong.
- Approximately $21 million has been invested in companies to date.
